After experimenting with tights in flour on a smaller scale I decided it was time to explore my work in a different scale. My studio at The Royal William Yard in Plymouth is a beautiful spacious studio with these incredible structural beams showing everywhere. There was a point in these beams which made a square at the front of the studio, this part of the beams made me think about how I could possibly create a 360 degree interactive experiment. My idea was to hang the tights with one leg of the tights over each side of the beam (all around the square) to see how the work can be viewed in a both a much larger scale but also more interactive experience.

The photo below is of the beginning of this process. I found just a wall on one side does not seem to create the immersed feeling I was going for, so I am hoping once I begin to complete the other sides the work will bring together the concept.

(UPDATE: All the flour which is used in my projects was purchased previously to Covid-19 and I have done all I can to recycle all the flour I am using.)
