First image- The bystander.

The figure displayed is the first performer in my art performance. The figure does not move. The figure in the performance holds a phone with a timer on it, as the viewers are told in instructions before entering the performance space that they must all stay present for 2 minutes and after that time is up they may leave.

○Red hands- Like I have mentioned previously in posts, the red hands are to represent how a bystander is never innocent. And therefore in my eyes has blood on their hands.

○The chain- The chain was in some way attached to the figures hands so there was limited space to move, however the figure could get their hands free to help. This is linking back to the idea that it made be hard to make the move to help, however it's not impossible.

○Black clothing and tape- The clothing was to represent how a bystander feels like they are one of the crowd, trying to hide. And the tape shows another way in which a bystander could help, by taking or communicating but they chose not too.
