Viewer interacting with 'Bulge', (2020)
Knowing that Covid-19 had seemed to be slowly taking over every aspect of our lives, we were asked to prepare for the worse and to document our work within the studio while we could, as none can really say how long Covid-19 will be affecting the lives of many. Therefore in preparation I decided it was best for me to have some documentation of how my sculpture 'Bulge' responds to a viewers touch and force. My aim was to show the most accurate representation of the experience of which 'Bulge' could of created within a interactive gallery space.
Video Aim: Focus on the way the fabric and materials stretched, and shreds flour as a response to this when moved or interacted with. The videos were in hope for the viewer to understand the relation to the flour shredding and shredding weight. I wish for the response to be individual. (This one in particular was close up to allow individuals to view the sculpture from a different perspective.)
(UPDATE: All the flour which is used in my projects was purchased previously to Covid-19 and I have done all I can to recycle all the flour I am using.)
