Balllllllsssssssssss

As I'm experimenting a lot with stitching into the polyamide elastane/ tights I have been experimenting with how my sculptures will lay and sit when I have attached more then one piece of fabric together. I'm loving how when I placed the stitched tights on the floor it created a dough form, it instantly made me think of bread. I wondered if I could possibly play around with the idea of having multiples? And think about actually adding real balls of dough next to them?

It's interesting how when on the floor and then on the wall the sculpture completely changes its form and concept. When hung, it reminds me of the Male genitals. It represents both the concepts I am trying to perceive however it also allows a masculine quality of my work to show through. I think its intriguing. As I dont not think about the male body, I just primarily work on the female body as I am a a female who's working through lived experiences. I like to think my work is not particularly about either sex when perceived but there are qualities in some of my works which represent more female and then more male body parts. Understanding this and its positions and displays will be something I need to explore more.
